You need fuel to run.  No way around it.

I’ve tried pretty much everything on the market to “eat” while I run and it seems GU Chomps are where it’s at for me (and Heather agrees).  So we asked the lovely folks at GU Energy for a sample pack to giveaway and they sent us a FAT envelope full of GU Chomps, GU Energy Gels, GU Electrolyte Brew, and Ultra Endurance. 

We also scored a little stash of Luna Bars which are pretty darn tasty….

So we are putting together a little “energy pack” for you distance runners that need a little extra punch during your long runs.   We are working on scoring a few other things so if we can we will add them to the pot ;)

A few short easy breezy way to enter:

  1. Tell us what you currently use to maintain energy during your runs (or if you don’t use anything – tell us that too!)
  2. Check out their facebook page and “like” them: https://www.facebook.com/GUEnergyLabs and come tell us you did.  If you want to tag Moms RUN This Town using the @ symbol so it links back to us – that’s cool – if not, that’s cool too ;)
  3. Check out their products and pin your favorite or something you want to try on pinterest.
  4. Tweet your excitement about the giveaway saying “I want to #winrunninggear with @GUEnergyLabs and @momsrunthistown. #momsrunthis”

    Ok I don't use anything on runs because I have NEVER gone over 6 miles. But I have started researching because I think having something to eat will motivate me to run more. You may be motivated by the wrong things when you only want to run more so you can eat energy bars… :)

    totally use the gu chocloate explosion gels and the power bar chocolate gels w/caffeine. they are the only gels that don't make me want to puke!! but i do prefer the gu over the power bar, but need a little caffeine on the long runs. short runs i just use water.
