NOT OFFICIAL YET – THIS IS IN THE WORKS
|Just a rough idea of the patches….|
But we couldn’t wait to get your thoughts/opinions…..
We were thinking it would be fun to continually add ‘challenges’ to our page. After you complete each challenge you can purchase an iron on decal for the back of your MRTT shirt (or wherever) to show you completed the challenge! Each challenge will be specific and we are working on the honor system here – if you cheat you are only cheating yourselves!!! (guilt trip).
Here are the challenges we had in mind and descriptions below.
Run 10 or more official races (any distance) in a year (12months) to earn this decal. Save your bibs – take a photo and send it to us when you complete all the races!! (not required- just thought it would be fun to see the photos).
All you have to do to earn this decal is omplete a mud run or obstacle race! Again – photos are not required but we would LOVE to see our muddy mamas!!!
Do ALL of the following in your lifetime (no time frame): 5k, 8k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon, Marathon. We can’t put a time frame on this because that’s a whole lotta races… but if you’ve done one of each you have EARNED this decal!
You can purchase individual decals for each distance of race you have run including: k, 8k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon, Marathon, and Ultra. You don’t have to do them ALL – just purchase a decal for the ones you have done.
I Love My Buddy
Run with a buddy throughout the entire race – cross the finish line at the same time. It’s ok – we aren’t going for fast times… and if there are prizes involved yall can duke it out on your own. We just want to promote encouragement and friendship here :)
Run a sub 25min 5k or a sub 50min 10k.
Super Fly Mama
Run a sub 20min 5k, sub 40min 10k
COACH to 5k
Get someone started on the Couch to 5k program and have them successfully complete a 5k to earn this badge! And by “successfully” complete – we mean on their own regardless of time.
If you can think of any others that would be fun let us know!! We are still working on tshirts and trying to figure out the decals – but wanted to see what yall thought first.
After sharing the idea with a friend I was asked “you were a girlscout werent you?’ and the answer was yes…. yes I was :)
